PRESIDENT MEETS WITH CITIZENS

According to the Law on Local Government and Statute of  Palilula Municipality, the president of  Palilula Municipality, Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, sent a call to CITIZENS OF PALILULA MUNICIPALITY to attend talks about recent activities of the Municipality management and current issues that contribute to improving the work of municipal authorities and better co-operation government to citizens. This meeting was held in the hall of the Cultural Centre of Nis in the presence of a number of interested citizens and representatives of organizations and associations.

MANAGEMENT OF MUNICIPALITY SUBMITTED A REPORT

On fifteenth meeting of the Palilula Assembly , which was held18th of May in the hall of the Cultural Centre of Nis, is considered reports of work of the President of Municipality, President of the Assembly and members of the Municipal Council. The meeting of the Assembly are chaired by Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly and Vesna Jovanović-Jankovic, Secretary of the Assembly. In keynote speech Prof Dr Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality evaluate previous activity of management as very successful, especially highlighted the work of groups of Assembly members  and coalition partners who had been very constructive. Good cooperation was also and with groups of Assembly members who are not in coalition.

FINALLY THE  RAIL CROSSING SIDEWALK!

It was finished sidewalk, in the length of 40 meters in the street, `Vojvode Gojka` in the Palilula Municipality. This location visited Prof Dr Igor Novakovic president of Palilula Municipality and Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate. Finally solved the problem of security of pedestrians, mostly high school students and students of the Faculty. Interior sidewalk in the street `Vojavode Gojka`, stretching from the pedestrian crossing to the rail crossing that separates this street and the street `Jug Bogdanova` many years has been a problem for many governments and competent enterprises.

DAYS OF FOSTERING IN PALILULA

Association of foster parents ''Big Heart'' in Nis, was awarded the honor to be the organizer of this years traditional event "Days of foster care 2010" that is celebrated every year 17th of May. In NKC, on this occasion, under the support of Palilula Municipality, it was organized cultural and artistic events, a cocktail for a number of guests and members of the Association. In Nis, there are 120 foster families, and nearly half live in the territory of the Palilula Municipality - emphasized  Zorica Stojiljkovic, the municipal councilor. This ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Medijana Municipality  with Municipal president Dragoslav Cirkovic as well as the representatives of Palilula Municipality -Milos Stojkovic, the municipal councilor  and Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate, who have emphasized the importance of this sort of social protection and announced support for foster families.

`MILKA PROTIC` CLOSER TO NIS

After the call of the people living in `Milka Protic` settlement, this part of Palilula Municipal territory was visited by Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly with his associates. It was the motive for the visit of this area including the meeting with local citizens and talking about the current issues of this `green oasis`.Novica Mitrovic, representative of Citizens` Council, pointed at key problems in this settlement. `There has been nine years from the moment when the part of sewerage system was completed, but the works have not been continued. The work has not been completed, use permit has not been issued, therefore Public Enterprise `Naissus` has not taken over the role of keeping the net` – emphasized Mitrovic. The residents have taken over the part of keeping and there is no possibility for this action to go on in this way.

LITTLE GREEN PARK INSTEAD OF RUINS

At the location of Donje Medjurovo village ruined old school - danger for the local people, that was last year brought down, green surface will be arranged. As Boban Mikic, member of Palilula Municipal Council said, `in the cooperation with the Council of Citizens of this settlement and the support of `Mediana` Public Enterprise, the public sector solved one more significant problem for the citizens of this village`. This educational object could not be used and because of ruining it was dangerous for the passer-bys. Since it is situated next to local community building and elementary school `Desanka Maksimovic` is near by, including sport terrains, four years ago the decision of brining down this object was brought. However, nothing has been done to make this decision realized until the coming of new authorities in Palilula in 2008, reminded Mikic.

FOR EUROPEAN DAY IN NIS – DAYS OF EUROPEAN FILM AND CONFERENCE

People living in Suvi Do settlement, Palilula Municipality, particularly those who live in Vukadina Kocica street from no 15-19 asked for help of authorities in charge and city institutions aiming at sanitation of landslide area that has endangered their residential objects.For the rich precipitation it came to the damaging of supporting wall and the incidence of landslide of the terrain which provoked the appearance of cracks on the walls of the houses. The president of the Municipality Prof. dr Igor Novakovic and Zorica Stojiljkovic, Municipal councilor, visited this area. During this visit they took closer view of the sight and the state of these objects. Public utility enterprise Directorate for city land development and City of Nis authorities in charge for this matter were also informed about the situation in Suvi Do.
